Gesture Drawing

This is so much fun!
Croquis – but with a play!
The models are fantastic at dressing up as different characters and giving us a story about them.
Characters so far:
- A crashed pilot.
- A girl in the rain.
- A child outside playing.
- A hard working woman.
- A Jamaican enjoying the beach.
- A woman from the 60's enjoying the beach.
- A blue haired winter entertainer.
- A french woman heavily drunk on wine.
- A rockstar.
- A poor musician from the 1800's.
- An older woman living in a 'Sound of Music'-ish world (And is portrayed by a male model by the way).
- An indian.

The soundtracks that the models choose for us while we draw are awesome and really intensifies the experience a lot and brings their characters story even more to life.

‘The piano has been drinking
My necktie is asleep
And the combo went back to New York
The jukebox has to take a leak
And the carpet needs a haircut
And the spotlight looks like a prison break
Cause the telephone’s out of cigarettes
And the balcony’s on the make
And the piano has been drinking
The piano has been drinking…’

In this sketch he really looks like someone who belongs along with Timon and Pumba in Lion King:
